Jo's Sugar House

Maine Maple Sunday

Maple syrup products will be for sale at Jo’s Sugar House in 2024

Usually in March, one of the sweetest of Maine traditions comes alive at Jo’s Sugarhouse- Maine Maple Sunday! From 9am-4pm bring your family out to learn about the fascinating tradition of making maple syrup. See how sap is transformed into syrup in our hand-hewn timber-frame sugar house over a crackling wood fired evaporator. Tradition at it finest, with the nostalgic smells of wood smoke and sweet maple steam.

We also serve a Sausage and Blueberry Pancake Breakfast in the morning- nothing beats farm made cakes drizzled with fresh Maine maple syrup and smothered with blueberries. If you’re still hungry, stick around for lunch when we serve our all natural Sebago Lake Ranch Grass Fed Beef hamburgers! And top it all off with some maple syrup drizzled ice cream! It’s a fun day for the whole day family.

MAPLE SYRUP

We sell Maple Syrup in all sorts of sizes and grades. It’s really a labor of love for us. It must be since we out collecting sap from over 400 taps on the most frigid late winter days and we keep the sap at a rolling boil late into the nights. One taste of our syrup and you’ll understand why we do it!
